About

Genvex Connect is an integration that connects Genvex Connect and Nilan Gateway ventilation units to Home Assistant over the local network. Local communication is handled by the GenvexNabto library, so the integration does not depend on a cloud service. It requires a Genvex Connect or Nilan gateway, while newer Genvex Optima units have a gateway built into the mainboard and only need an Ethernet connection. The integration provides a climate entity for ventilation, along with sensors for temperatures, binary sensors for states such as bypass, defrost and reheat, and switches for functions like boost, cooling and preheating. It also offers number and select controls for target temperature, bypass behavior, fan levels and central heating options, plus a button to reset the filter. Setup is done in the UI, using the email address from the Genvex Connect app.

From the README

This component integrates Genvex Connect and Nilan Gateway devices directly into Home Assistant. It uses the GenvexNabto library, which manages local communication with the devices. For more technical details about the project, refer to that repository.

To use this integration, an official gateway is required. This can be either a Genvex Connect gateway or a Nilan gateway. Newer Genvex Optima devices come with a built-in gateway on the mainboard and only require an Ethernet connection.
