About

ECHONET Lite is a custom integration that connects Home Assistant to ECHONET Lite compatible devices over the local network. It provides climate, fan, cover, light, sensor, select, switch, number, time and binary sensor platforms, and devices are added in the UI by IP address and name, with auto discovery as an option. Any device that implements the protocol is supported, including device classes missing from the Machine Readable Appendix. State updates use push notifications, with polling for properties the device does not report, and an option keeps polling active on segmented networks. Options cover fan and swing settings, temperature limits for heating, cooling and automatic operation, and energy-related sensors where available. The project is in maintenance mode, with bug fixes still accepted.

From the README

A Home Assistant custom component for use with ECHONETLite compatible devices. This custom component makes use of the pychonet Python3 library also maintained by this author.

This integration supports any device that implements the ECHONET Lite protocol, regardless of whether the device class appears in the Machine Readable Appendix (MRA). New device classes can be added via pychonet without constraint.
