About
Renpho Fitness Scale BLE connects Renpho ES-CS20M and compatible Bluetooth Low Energy smart scales to Home Assistant. It works locally over Bluetooth, without the Renpho app or an internet connection, and can go through an ESPHome Bluetooth proxy. Weight measurements arrive as sensors, with optional body composition values such as BMI, body fat, body water, muscle mass, bone mass and basal metabolic rate. Several people can share one scale, and the integration picks the user by weight history with a tolerance that adapts over time. Each user can be linked to a person entity so that someone who is away from home is skipped, and can have athlete mode or an alternative body fat algorithm turned on. Display units can be set to kilograms or pounds, and the scale is found automatically and added in the UI.

This custom integration connects your Renpho ES-CS20M smart bathroom scale — and other compatible Renpho scales that share the same BLE protocol (see Supported Devices) — to Home Assistant over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). It provides real-time weight measurements, on-device body composition metrics, and intelligent multi-user routing — all without requiring an internet connection or the Renpho app. This is an unofficial, community-built integration. Health & safety note: Body-composition scales measure by passing a low electrical current through the body.
