About
Fitbit is a built-in integration that brings Fitbit account data into Home Assistant as sensors. It reads from the vendor's cloud, so a Fitbit account is required and data is not collected locally. The sensors cover activity and body measurements such as activity calories, BMI, body fat, elevation and floors. Sleep values like awakenings count and minutes after wakeup are included, along with device battery and battery level. Setup happens in the UI, where an authentication method based on application credentials is chosen and sign-in goes through the vendor's own page.
