About

Etekcity Fitness Scale BLE connects Etekcity Bluetooth fitness scales to Home Assistant for local weight readings. It talks to the scale directly over Bluetooth, so neither an internet connection nor the VeSync app is needed. Sensors report weight and impedance, and supported models can add body composition values such as body fat, muscle mass and metabolic age, with an optional athlete mode and an alternative calculation per user. Several people can share one scale: the integration matches a reading to a user by weight history, can skip users whose linked person entity is away, and sends actionable notifications when a reading is ambiguous. Actions let a pending measurement be assigned, reassigned or removed, and history retention can be limited by days or by count. The scale is found automatically and added through the UI, with a choice of kg or lb display.

This custom integration allows you to connect your Etekcity Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) fitness scale to Home Assistant. It provides real-time weight measurements and, for supported models, body composition metrics directly in your Home Assistant instance, without requiring an internet connection or the VeSync app.
Health & safety note: Body-composition scales measure by passing a low electrical current through the body. This project does not support the manufacturers' zero-current, pregnancy or baby modes, and a mode enabled in the manufacturer's app is not guaranteed to be in effect while the scale is used through this integration.
