About

digitalSTROM connects a digitalSTROM server (dSS) to Home Assistant through a Marketplace integration. It works locally and exposes binary sensors, climate, covers, events, lights, scenes, sensors, switches and updates. Sensors cover readings such as power, current, energy, temperature, brightness, humidity, air pressure and wind, for both rooms and outdoors. Switches map states like standby, sleeping, absent, door bell, fire and panic, and scenes turn off lights, covers, audio or video. Home Assistant can find the server on the network by itself, and setup is done in the UI with host, port, username and password. A server with a self-signed certificate needs the certificate's SHA-256 fingerprint entered to verify its identity.
