About
Youtube Sensor is a Home Assistant integration that reports the newest video on a YouTube channel. It adds sensors whose state is the name of the most recent video. Attributes carry the video URL, content ID, publish time, views, stars, and whether the video was streamed live or is live now. Further attributes show whether any video on the channel is live and give the channel logo image URL. Data is gathered by web scraping rather than an API, and it depends on the vendor's cloud. Because views and stars are reported in the state, automations triggered by state will fire when those counts change, unless the trigger is limited to the URL attribute.
