Example PID Output

About

Simple PID Controller is an integration that runs a PID control loop from a chosen sensor inside Home Assistant. It adds number entities for Kp, Ki, Kd, setpoint and output, so tuning can be changed live, plus a sensor showing the current value. Switches turn auto mode, proportional on measurement and windup protection on or off. Input range and output range are set for the sensor, and the options let step sizes be adjusted for each tuning value, the setpoint, output limits and startup value. An action sets or resets the controller output, and a diagnostics download can be attached to bug reports. It works locally and is set up in the UI.
