About
Dawarich is a custom integration that connects Home Assistant to a Dawarich location tracking instance. It adds sensors for account statistics such as total distance, points tracked, countries and cities visited, last update and the Dawarich version. Optionally, a device tracker such as a phone can be chosen so its location is sent through Home Assistant to Dawarich, which avoids needing a separate app. Connection settings cover host, port, name, and whether to use SSL and verify it, and an API key from the Dawarich account page is entered as well. Settings and the API key can be changed later through a reconfigure option, and re-authentication is supported. Repair notices appear in Home Assistant when the device tracker or the Dawarich API becomes unavailable. It works locally and is set up in the UI.

From the README
Dawarich is a self-hosted Google Timeline alternative (see why you would want to consider it). In short it provide a private way to keep track of where you have been. You can either selfhost it, or use Dawarich's own SaaS platform!
This integration does two things, one of which is optional.
