About

Xiaomi Miot connects Xiaomi devices to Home Assistant using the miot-spec protocol, covering Wi-Fi, BLE and ZigBee devices. Devices can be added with a Xiaomi account, or with a local IP address and token for devices that support miot-spec over the local network. Account setup offers automatic, local or cloud connection modes, and the device list can be filtered by model, home or Wi-Fi network. The integration needs the vendor's cloud for some connections and is configured through the UI, with no YAML required for basic use. It creates many entity types, including sensors, switches, climate, cameras, vacuums, fans, lights and media players. Actions allow sending miio commands, reading and setting miot properties, calling device actions, fetching device tokens and BLE bindkeys, and waking a XiaoAi speaker. It polls devices for state, so it cannot catch real-time events from some wireless switches and motion or door sensors.
