About

SmartThings is a built-in Home Assistant integration that connects SmartThings devices through the vendor's cloud. It adds many platforms, including climate, covers, fans, lights, locks, vacuums, valves, water heaters, media, scenes and updates. Appliance-oriented controls appear as buttons, numbers, selects and switches, such as start, pause and stop buttons, temperature numbers, cycle selects and do not disturb switches. Sign-in goes through the vendor's own page using application credentials, and setup is done in the UI. Devices that are gone are removed automatically, and repair notices appear for deprecated sensors and switches. A diagnostics file can be downloaded to attach to a bug report.
