About
Wi-Fi Sensor Tracker turns a smartphone's Wi-Fi connection sensor into a device tracker for presence detection. It reads the Wi-Fi sensor exposed by the Home Assistant Companion App, so no router login or router-specific setup is needed. Each configured sensor creates its own tracker, and several sensors or phones can be handled at once. A tracker shows home while the phone is connected to the chosen home network and switches to not home after a configurable delay once it disconnects. Extra Wi-Fi networks can be added and linked to zones, and the trackers can be attached to Person entities. It works locally and is set up in the UI without YAML.
