About

OwnTone is a built-in integration that connects Home Assistant to an OwnTone media server over the local network. It adds media player control for the server. Home Assistant can spot the server on the network and offer to add it, and setup is done in the UI with a host, a friendly name, an API port and an API password if one is used. Options cover the port for librespot-java pipe control, the maximum number of playlists used as sources, and the pause in seconds before and after text-to-speech. A volume level between 0 and 1 can also be set for text-to-speech announcements.
