A. O. Smith is a built-in integration that connects Home Assistant to A. O. Smith water heaters through the vendor's cloud. It adds water heater entities, along with sensors for energy usage and hot water availability. A select entity lets the Hot Water+ level be changed. Setup happens in the UI with an email address and password for the account. A diagnostics download is available to attach to bug reports.
