About

Zigbee2MQTT Edge is a Home Assistant app that runs the development build of Zigbee2MQTT. It lets Zigbee devices work without the vendor's bridge or gateway, passing device events and controls through MQTT. That allows the devices to be used with other smart home systems that support MQTT. The app follows the Zigbee2MQTT development branch, so it tracks unreleased changes. It has its own page in the Home Assistant sidebar and has access to USB, serial or GPIO hardware as well as the Supervisor API. It requires Home Assistant OS and is built for aarch64 and amd64. Updating means uninstalling and reinstalling the app, so the configuration must be backed up first.
