About

Wmbusmeters (W-MBus to MQTT) is an app that reads utility meter data over the wireless mbus protocol. It receives telegrams from meters that send C1, T1 or S1 telegrams, so no vendor bridge or gateway is needed. Readings are passed to an MQTT topic, and each meter is defined by a name, driver, id and decryption key where the meter uses one. With MQTT discovery turned on, the app creates Home Assistant entities itself, with unit, device class and state class taken from the meter driver. Status fields also get a problem sensor, a text sensor and flag sensors that are disabled by default. It runs on Home Assistant OS on aarch64 or amd64, uses a USB radio receiver, and has its own page in the sidebar.
