About
TimescaleDB is an app that runs a PostgreSQL database with the TimescaleDB extension for time-series data. It adds a SQL database server to Home Assistant OS, which other tools can reach over the network port that is mapped in the app's network section. A list of databases can be created at startup, and the time-series extension is enabled only for the databases named in a separate list, while the rest behave like normal PostgreSQL databases. Other options cover telemetry, a memory limit, a processor core limit, the maximum number of connections, and custom PostgreSQL server parameters and authentication rules. Advanced options allow extra system packages and startup commands, and a retry option exists for failed major version upgrades. It has no sidebar page and needs no special permissions.
