About

Samba NAS is a Home Assistant app that shares Home Assistant directories and disks over SMB/CIFS. It lets Windows and macOS machines reach the shares by the host's IP address. Settings cover the workgroup, local master browser behavior, a username and password, and the hosts or networks allowed to connect. It can mount labeled disks automatically and share extra disks or partitions by label or id, with filesystems such as ext4, vfat, exFAT, ntfs, xfs and btrfs listed as supported. It is built for Home Assistant OS and runs on armv7, aarch64 and amd64. The app is in maintenance mode, receiving only bug fixes, while a rewrite called SambaNas2 is in alpha.
