About

openWakeWord is an app that runs wake word detection for Home Assistant over the Wyoming protocol. Once it is running, the Wyoming integration discovers it automatically, and the detected wake words can then be chosen in the Voice Assistants settings. Custom wake word models in the tflite format are loaded from a folder in the shared directory, and the Wyoming integration needs a reload after new models are added. Options cover an activation threshold, a trigger level that sets how many activations are needed before a detection counts, and debug logging that shows satellite connections and each detection. It requires Home Assistant OS, runs on amd64 and aarch64, and needs no special permissions.
