About
MariaDB is an app that runs a SQL database server inside Home Assistant. It is meant to serve as the database behind the recorder and history components, storing their data in place of the default store. Settings cover the database names, user logins with passwords, and the privileges granted to each user. A user limited to read-only access can be created so other applications can view recorder data. An optional field accepts extra server arguments, which can help with schema updates on large databases when memory is available. It requires Home Assistant OS, supports aarch64 and amd64, needs no special permissions, and has no sidebar page.
