About

InfluxDB v1 is an app that runs the InfluxDB 1.x time series database inside Home Assistant. It bundles Chronograf and Kapacitor, so an admin interface for users, databases, retention settings and a data explorer is included. The app covers the 1.x line only, with InfluxQL and the classic database, user and retention policy model, and it is not InfluxDB 2 or 3. Its page opens from the Home Assistant sidebar, and sign-in can be checked against Home Assistant usernames and passwords. Options cover log level, database authentication, anonymous usage reporting, SSL for the web interface and custom environment variables for InfluxDB settings. It needs Home Assistant OS and runs on aarch64 and amd64.

From the docs

InfluxDB is an open source time series database optimized for high-write-volume. It's useful for recording metrics, sensor data, events, and performing analytics. It exposes an HTTP API for client interaction and is often used in combination with Grafana to visualize the data.

This app provides the InfluxDB 1.x series (InfluxQL, the 1.x HTTP API and the classic database, user and retention policy model). It is not InfluxDB 2 or InfluxDB 3; those have a different API, data model and configuration. If you are integrating with Home Assistant, use the influxdb integration with api_version: 1, which is the default.
