About

Homeway is a Home Assistant app that adds remote access and cloud voice features to a Home Assistant install. It provides remote access for the Home Assistant iPhone and Android apps, and can reach other web services on the local network, such as Node-Red or PiHole. It also handles Google Home and Alexa voice control, with a settings page for exposing or hiding individual devices. A voice assistant called Sage AI offers speech-to-text, text-to-speech and chat backed by language models such as Gemini and ChatGPT. Remote access can be switched off while the other features stay active. It needs Home Assistant OS, opens its own page in the sidebar, and links to a Homeway account after the app is started.
