About

File Explorer is a Home Assistant app that browses, edits, uploads and organizes the files of a Home Assistant installation. It adds a file manager page to the sidebar, built on FileBrowser Quantum, with an editor, previews, a search index and WebDAV. The directories it shows include the configuration, backups, media, shared files, certificates and the configuration folders of installed apps. Sign-in goes through Home Assistant, so each Home Assistant user gets a File Browser account named after them, and anyone who can open the app can change everything in those directories. The published port uses File Browser's own login screen instead. It requires Home Assistant OS and runs on aarch64 and amd64.
