About

chrony is a Home Assistant app that runs a local NTP time server for devices on the network. It is meant for devices with controlled internet access, such as cameras, which can take their time from it. The app can also set the system clock of the host, though some systems may be better served by a different mechanism. Upstream time can come from a pool of servers, which is the recommended mode, or from a list of specific server names or addresses. Log verbosity is adjustable, from very detailed trace output to fatal errors only, with info as the default. It requires Home Assistant OS, runs on aarch64 and amd64, asks for privileged Linux capabilities and Supervisor API access, and has no sidebar page.
