About

Google Keep Sync is a custom integration that keeps Google Keep lists and Home Assistant to-do lists in step with each other. Selected Keep lists are created as to-do entities, and changes made on either side are synchronized in both directions through Google's cloud. Setup happens in the UI with a Google username and a token, after the repository is added as a custom one in the Marketplace. Options cover which lists to sync, an optional name prefix, and automatic alphabetical sorting that disables manual reordering. A case-change setting rewrites list items in both places, and the sync interval can be set from 1 to 1440 minutes. An empty item placeholder can show blank Keep items used as separators, but it does not work with auto-sort.

Configure options

  • Lists to SyncChoose which lists to synchronize. You can select multiple lists. Archived or deleted lists are not shown here.
  • List Prefix(Optional, can be blank) Add a unique identifier to the front of each list name in Home Assistant. For example, entering 'Google' will display your shopping list as 'Google Shopping List'. Leave empty to have the lists named as they are in Google Keep.
  • Automatically Sort ListsAutomatically sorts list items alphabetically in both Home Assistant and Google Keep. Note: Enabling this disables manual reordering of items. Disable auto-sort if you prefer to arrange items yourself.
  • Change List Item CaseChanges all of your list items to the given case. Default is to not change anything. This is bidirectional, so your list items in both Home Assistant and Google Keep will be changed.
  • Sync IntervalHow often to sync with Google Keep (1-1440 minutes). Lower values provide faster updates but may cause rate limiting. Increase this value if you experience sync issues.
  • Empty Item PlaceholderText to display for empty Google Keep items (used as separators). Default is blank (disabled), which filters out empty items. Use unique text you won't use for real items. Incompatible with auto-sort.
