About
Open-Meteo Enhanced is a custom integration that provides Open-Meteo weather forecasts as a weather entity in Home Assistant. Daily forecasts are aggregated over the local calendar day instead of a UTC day, which the built-in Open-Meteo integration uses. It reads data through the Open-Meteo SDK in a binary format and polls every 15 minutes, compared with 30 minutes for the built-in integration. Weather condition mapping is more detailed than the built-in one, which treats all thunderstorms alike and freezing rain as plain rain. Each entry is tied to a zone, and the location follows the zone coordinates, so multiple entries can cover different places. It needs internet access to the Open-Meteo API but no account or API key, and has no offline mode.
