About

Pirate Weather is an integration that replaces the defunct Dark Sky integration with one that uses the Pirate Weather API. It adds a weather entity and sensors to Home Assistant, and setup lets either or both be chosen. Sensors follow a shared list of monitored conditions, with optional daily forecast sensors for selected days and hourly forecast sensors for chosen hour offsets, the next several hours, or regular intervals. Location can be set by latitude and longitude, or left at zero to use the current location, and the update interval is adjustable. A collapsed advanced section holds weather model exclusions, rounding, endpoint and units. It relies on the vendor's cloud API, is configured in the UI, and the API key can be changed later without a restart.
