About
National Weather Service (NWS) is a built-in Home Assistant integration that provides weather data from the National Weather Service. It adds a weather entity and sensors, and it relies on the vendor's cloud service to get its data. Setup happens in the UI and uses an API key, with two ways to choose the location. One option follows a person, device tracker or zone, so the weather tracks that location as it changes. The other option takes a fixed latitude and longitude, along with a METAR station code. An action retrieves extra data for weather forecasts, and a diagnostics file can be downloaded to attach to bug reports.
