About
HEMS Echonet Lite is an integration that connects ECHONET Lite devices to Home Assistant over the local network. It talks to compatible devices through UDP multicast, so no cloud service, account or API key is needed. Device classes are handled automatically when they are discovered, and they appear as climate, fan, water heater, lock, cover and light entities, plus sensors, switches, numbers, selects, buttons and binary sensors. Extra sensors are added for some Sharp air cleaners, solar power systems and energy controllers when the manufacturer is detected. Setup happens in the UI, where a network interface can be chosen or left on automatic detection. Repair notices appear for runtime errors and for devices that stop responding, and a diagnostics download is available for bug reports.

Setting it up
Install it from the Marketplace and restart Home Assistant, then add it under Settings, Devices and services.
