About

Yi Home Cameras with yi-hack connects Yi and Sonoff cameras running custom yi-hack firmware to Home Assistant. It works locally and is set up in the UI by entering the camera's host, port, username, password and extra FFMPEG arguments. It supports the MStar, Allwinner, Allwinner-v2 and v5 firmwares as well as sonoff-hack. Each camera gets a stream and snapshot camera, a camera showing the last motion frame, and binary sensors for connection, motion, sound and baby crying where the camera supports them. It also adds a media player for text-to-speech, switches and selects for camera settings, a restart button, a firmware update entity, and diagnostic sensors for Wi-Fi quality, free storage and uptime. The camera needs MQTT enabled with a broker, and each camera needs its own topic prefix and client id when several are used.
