About
Battery Monitor BM6 reads a BLE car battery monitor locally and exposes its readings as sensors in Home Assistant. It provides sensors for voltage, temperature, battery percentage and battery state, plus diagnostic sensors for signal strength, values reported by the device itself, and the Bluetooth scanner in use. Percentage and state can come from the device, from charge and discharge voltage ranges, or from state of charge and discharge thresholds, depending on the chosen algorithm. Setup covers battery voltage, battery type, update interval, voltage and temperature offsets, and temperature unit, all done in the UI. Device triggers can start automations on events such as charging beginning, low voltage or too high voltage, and the integration is discovered automatically on the network. The device may not connect while a mobile app for it is running.
