From the README

Kia ora! 👋 This integration brings MetService weather into Home Assistant: live observations, hourly and 7-day forecasts, severe weather warnings, UV, pollen and fire danger, plus tides, boating and surf if you're near the coast.

It reads the same public data the MetService website uses, so there's no API key and no account. Just pick your town.
