About
Custom local icons loads SVG icons from a local folder so they can be used in Home Assistant. It adds an icon picker entry for the UI, and icons are referenced with the prefix cli: followed by the icon name. The folder is a setting chosen when the integration is added in the UI and can be changed later in the options, which also hold a switch for frontend debug logging. New icons in the folder are discovered automatically, though a browser tab reload is needed before changes show in an open session. SVG content is checked before rendering: script elements and inline event handlers are blocked, and only path data is extracted and drawn. It works locally and needs the Marketplace (HACS on 2026.10 and older).
