About

Kia/Hyundai/Genesis (USA) connects Kia, Hyundai and Genesis vehicles registered in the United States to Home Assistant. It relies on the manufacturer's cloud service and needs an active Kia Connect, Hyundai Blue Link or Genesis Connected Services subscription. It adds remote lock and unlock, remote climate start and stop, temperature control, and seat and steering wheel heating and cooling controls. Sensors cover vehicle location, odometer, range, tire pressure warnings, 12V battery state, and EV or hybrid charging status with AC and DC charge limits. A force update button requests fresh data from the vehicle, and the documentation warns that frequent requests can trigger temporary rate limiting by the vehicle APIs. Setup happens in the UI, with a brand choice followed by email and password, plus a one-time code for Kia or a 4-digit PIN for Hyundai and Genesis. An option sets the scan interval in minutes.
