About

Orbit B-Hyve BLE controls Orbit B-Hyve hose-tap and XD irrigation timers locally over BLE. The Orbit cloud is contacted only during setup, to discover devices and fetch network keys, and every command and state poll afterward stays local. Timers therefore keep working when the internet connection goes down. It adds valves, switches, sensors, numbers, selects, buttons and binary sensors, plus actions to start watering on a zone for a set duration, stop all watering, and set, read or delete watering programs on supported valves. Options cover default watering duration, idle disconnect time, polling intervals, flow calibration and optional hub mesh ID overrides. A firmware recovery action can resend firmware to an HT25-0000 timer stuck in its bootloader, and setup runs in the UI with an Orbit account.

After setup

  • Default watering duration (seconds)
  • Disconnect after idle (seconds)
  • State polling interval — idle (seconds)
  • State polling interval — watering (seconds)
  • Flow calibration (sensor counts per gallon)
  • Mesh live status poll — HT25 connects over BLE on each idle poll to read watering state and battery (costs battery: ~96 connects/day at the default cadence)
  • Hub mesh ID overrides — optional, only if the cloud doesn't report your hub's mesh ID. Comma-separated MAC=id pairs, decimal or 0x-hex (e.g. "AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF=0xEB42"). Leave blank unless watering commands are being dropped.

  • Refresh devices from cloudRe-query the Orbit cloud and merge the result into the config entry: adds newly-discovered devices, keeps devices you excluded excluded, and never overwrites a working network key or mesh ID with a blank one.Fields: Account
  • Recover firmware (HT25-0000)Re-send the official firmware to an HT25-0000 hose timer stuck in its bootloader (blinking white) after a failed update. Works on a timer that is no longer on your account. Refuses any timer that is not in its bootloader, and only sends an image matching a known-good hash. Runs in the background; progress appears as a notification. Only verified on HT25-0000 with fw0085.Fields: Bluetooth address, Account
