About

OpenPlantbook connects Home Assistant to the Open Plantbook plant care database. It can search plant species, fetch care data, and upload sensor readings, and it serves as the data backend for the Plant Monitor integration. It is a fork of the original integration and needs the vendor's cloud with a client ID and secret, which are entered in the UI. Options cover automatic download of plant images to a chosen path, and common plant names in the Home Assistant language. Anonymous daily uploads of plant sensor data can be enabled, with optional sharing of location country or coordinates, and notifications about stale or missing sensor updates. It is installed through the Marketplace.

This is fork of original OpenPlantbook integration that reflects the Open Plantbook founder's vision and adds extra features.
