About

WiCAN is a Marketplace integration that connects Home Assistant to a WiCAN device over the local network. It adds binary sensors for Bluetooth status and whether the ECU is online, and sensors for WiFi mode, battery voltage, VPN status and uptime. A presence entity reports the location, and an update entity covers the device firmware. Home Assistant can discover the device on the network and offer to add it. Setup takes place in the UI with a hostname or IP address and an optional alternative IP, and the integration must first be added as a custom repository in the Marketplace. A diagnostics file can be downloaded to attach to a bug report.
