About

A Better Route Planner is an integration that pulls vehicle telemetry from the A Better Route Planner navigation app into Home Assistant. It adds a location presence entity and sensors for power, state of charge, state of health, heading, outside and battery temperature, odometer, and estimated battery range. Sensors for coordinates, last update time, and telemetry type are included as well. Entities are created automatically from the telemetry that is available, and data refreshes on a schedule of every 5 minutes. It relies on the vendor's cloud and needs an API key plus a user token generated from the car connection settings in the app. Setup is done in the user interface, and the integration is installed through the Marketplace.
