About

Chargeamps is an integration that connects Charge Amps chargers to Home Assistant through the vendor's cloud. It adds sensors for status, power, total energy, and current and voltage per phase, plus a binary sensor for cable connection. Controls include a switch for the charging schedule, a cable lock, a maximum current number, dimmer and downlight lights, and a button to reboot the charge point. It polls the Charge Amps API at a set interval, and the options allow changing that interval or limiting it to chosen charge points. Chargers owned by an organisation are found automatically, and optional callbacks can push events if Charge Amps support enables them. Setup is done in the UI with an account email, password, and an API key.
