About

Virtual Devices is a custom integration that creates simulated devices with several entities grouped under one device. It is meant for testing, demos, development and learning, and it runs locally. The setup form asks for a device name, a device type and how many entities to create, with a limit of ten. Entities can be switches, lights, covers, sensors, climate, cameras, media players, vacuums and many other platforms, each with type-specific settings such as brightness support, travel time or fan speed. Washer, dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, doorbell and vehicle types are exposed as full appliance sets with program selection, control buttons, and runtime sensors. Device states are saved and restored, and the integration is configured in the UI through the Marketplace.
