About
DOOM is a Home Assistant integration that adds a dashboard card for playing the original 1993 DOOM. The game runs in the browser through js-dos, a DOSBox emulator compiled to WebAssembly, and the shareware first episode is included. The card editor offers a title, a sound toggle and an auto start option. A binary sensor shows whether someone is playing, based on regular pings from the card while the game runs. Sensors cover the current player, last played time, session duration, total play time and sessions played, plus a daily quote or fact about the game. It works locally and is set up in the UI, and it needs the Marketplace or HACS on older versions.
