About
Orphan Entity Cleaner finds and deletes orphan entities left in the Home Assistant registry. These are entities remaining after the integration that created them was removed or failed. It adds a sidebar web panel and services that scripts and automations can call, and it works locally after being added in the UI. Detection uses several methods, including dead registry entries, unavailable states, timestamps and heuristics, and the table can be filtered by method. A dry run mode simulates deletion without removing anything, and the delete service accepts it as a parameter. Save and delete writes a JSON backup of the selected entities first and aborts if the backup fails, while a persistent ignore list accepts platform names and patterns.
