About

Chefkoch is a Marketplace integration that brings recipes from Chefkoch.de into Home Assistant as sensors. By default it provides sensors for a daily recipe, a random recipe, and vegan, vegetarian and baking recipes, and it filters out paywalled Chefkoch Plus recipes. Custom search sensors can be added through the options, with autocomplete suggestions for the keyword, and each one picks a random matching recipe on every update. Sensor attributes carry ingredients, instructions, preparation time, nutritional information, cuisine style and images. Services refresh all recipes, add a sensor's ingredients to the shopping list, and generate a multi-day meal plan that is sent as an event. The update interval in hours is adjustable, the integration needs the vendor's cloud, and it is set up in the UI.

  • Random Recipes: Discover new meals with random recipe sensors (Standard, Vegan, Vegetarian, Baking).
  • Custom Search: Create sensors for specific queries (e.g., "Lasagne", "Vegan Burger").
  • Rich Data: Attributes include ingredients, instructions, preparation time, nutritional info (protein, fat, carbs), cuisine style, saved cookbook count (saved_recipes_count), view count (view_count),…
  • Meal Plan: Generate a multi-day recipe plan via the chefkoch_ha.generate_meal_plan service; results are fired as a chefkoch_meal_plan_generated event.
  • No Flicker: Sensors maintain their state during background updates or when adding new sensors.
