About

Entidade Reguladora dos Serviços Energéticos (ERSE) shows the current electricity tariff and simulates costs in Home Assistant. It is meant for energy clients in Portugal and switches the tariffs of a utility meter automatically. Setup asks for the operator, installed power, plan and billing cycle, then the utility meters to control and the prices for power and each tariff. It adds sensors for the current tariff, total cost and fixed cost. Cost sensors use mainland Portugal VAT rules, with a reduced rate on part of consumption for contracted power up to 6.9 kVA, and prices are entered without taxes. An optional large-family benefit setting raises the reduced-VAT allowance and is off by default.
