About
Home Assistant Web Proxy is an integration that proxies selected web traffic through a Home Assistant instance. It is aimed at dashboard cards that cannot reach backend resources directly, for example when the browser is on a different network or blocks mixed content. Proxying can be done in two ways: static URL patterns entered in the integration options, or dynamic proxied URLs created and deleted through Home Assistant actions from automations or compatible cards. Nothing is proxied by default, and proxied addresses are served to authenticated Home Assistant users. The options also cover dynamic URL creation, SSL verification and SSL ciphers. The proxying runs inside the Home Assistant process, so heavy use could slow the system down.
