About
MyQ connects Chamberlain and LiftMaster garage-door openers to Home Assistant through the MyQ cloud service. Each garage door appears as a cover with open and close controls and a current door state. Binary sensors cover door open, vacation mode, work light and active fault, while sensors report battery backup state, cycle counts and the source of the last activation, where MyQ provides them. The door open sensor is on whenever the door is not known to be closed, including while it moves, which makes it usable with Alarmo and other sensor-based automations. Sign-in happens in the UI with email or SMS verification codes, and a browser sign-in is available as an alternative. State is polled from the cloud every 30 seconds, and tokens refresh automatically until MyQ asks for reauthentication.
