About
Local file is a built-in Home Assistant integration that shows an image file from disk as a camera. It adds a camera entity that displays the image found at a chosen file path, and the entity can be given its own name. The file path must be within the paths Home Assistant allows for file access. The path can be changed later in the options, and an action called Update file path switches the file the camera displays. It works locally and is set up in the UI.
