About

Timeline Card is a dashboard card that shows entity state history as a timeline in Home Assistant. Events appear in an alternating center layout, with optional left or right single-sided modes and a compact option. Each entity can have its own name, icons, colors, status labels and filters, and state names are translated by locale with per-entity overrides. The history range is set in hours, and a limit on shown events can collapse extra entries or move them into a scrollable container. Times can be relative or absolute, with optional durations for finished states and since times for current ones. The card listens for state changes over WebSocket and adds new events without a page reload, and an optional refresh interval re-fetches history in the background. It is configured through the Home Assistant UI editor.
