About

state-switch is a dashboard card that swaps one Lovelace card for another depending on a matched state. The choice can follow an entity state, the URL hash, the logged-in user's display name, or whether the user is an administrator. It can also match on the device and browser combination, a CSS media query, or the result of a Jinja template. A default card is shown when no state matches. Changes between cards can be animated with slide, swap or flip transitions, and the duration is set in milliseconds. The card file is added as a module, and it needs the Marketplace, or HACS on 2026.10 and older.
