About

card-tools is a dashboard card that provides a shared set of helper functions for building custom Lovelace cards. It does not add a visible card for regular users, who need to do nothing beyond installing it as a module resource. Card developers can import the functions through npm or load the script as a resource and call them through a custom element. The helpers include a device and browser identifier stored in local storage, access to the hass object and Lovelace configuration, and a way to keep an element's hass property updated. It also exposes the lit-element base class and template functions, a binder for the long-press and double-click action handler, and functions to create cards, elements and entity rows. It needs the Marketplace for installation.
